The AXA Group, the global insurance company, has appointed a successor for Alain Rohaut who after over six years in the job has announced his retirement. Rohaut will be replaced by Shu Khoo, who will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Global Head of Human Resources on the 1st April 2010.

Khoo began her tenure at AXA in 2005 when she joined as Regional General Manager, Human Resources and Internal Communications of the AXA Life platform in Asia. After three and a half years in the role, she then joined Group HR as Head of Group Executive Management. Prior to her time spent with AXA, Khoo spent a significant part of her career with the Prudential group, holding several business and HR management positions at local (Singapore) and regional levels.

Speaking about this new appointment Henri de Castries, Chairman of the Management Board, comments: "I would like to very warmly thank Alain for bringing his great experience and vision in terms of human resources, and his contribution to enhance the strategic dimension of this function within AXA… I wish Shu Khoo the greatest success in her new position. I have no doubt that she will succeed in pursuing the work started by Alain, and will lead us to 2012, and beyond."
